CAT GANGS OF EAST L.A.

Near the 6th St. bridge in Boyle Heights (before it was torn down), there was a cat gang that ruled the streets. They rolled 20 deep and were pretty damn cute, however, these were still wild animals. I witnessed 5 kittens tear apart a bird and drag it under the 6th street bridge, and an hour later, watched the same kittens nap and play under the streetlights. Mike, a guy that lived inside the bridge column, fed the cats every day at 5pm. I believe this project helped nurture my love for pet portraits in the studio.
